Cognizant Counseling Center, LLC
Reaching out for counseling to treat anxiety and depression is like asking for a personal GP for your emotional journey. Think of it this way: if you had a flat tire, you wouldn’t just keep driving on it, right? You’d pull over, call for help, and get back on the road to happiness!
Counseling offers you the chance to swap your anxiety and depression for a more reliable emotional vehicle. Your feelings deserve a pit stop. I would love to help you be able to laugh again and love your life! I provide therapy for anxiety and depression in North Charleston, and I accept many Blue Cross insurance plans to make care more accessible.
I’m Holly Hansen, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LPCS, LAC) and founder of Cognizant Counseling Center. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and the overwhelm that often comes with life transitions. I am also a licensed hypnotherapist and utilize Hypnotherapy to allow access to the subconscious mind, enabling clients to uncover limiting beliefs and patterns that may hinder their growth. By guiding clients through targeted hypnotic techniques, I help them reframe these beliefs, paving the way for transformative change.
My style is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel more grounded and empowered. In my practice, I strive to empower clients to take ownership of their healing journeys. I believe that with the right support and tools, individuals can lead fulfilling lives, navigate challenges, and cultivate meaningful connections with themselves and others. I am honored to be a part of this transformative process and look forward to guiding my clients toward their personal growth and self-discovery.

And often, these experiences overlap. Many clients in North Charleston come to me looking for help managing both, and if you have Blue Cross insurance, you likely have coverage for this kind of support.
Therapy begins with understanding what you’ve been going through, without judgment or pressure. We’ll take our time to explore your experiences and uncover the patterns holding you back. My approach draws on evidence-based practices like:
